![]() ![]() ![]() (harvest/stocking/stocking after large trades/etc) Future Fix - Place limits on idle behavior so that searching for tasks is only done briefly every so many cycles and that certain "default" behaviors, besides searching for tasks, take over for a short time, if a task is not found. Do not order large projects, like large areas to be dug or manual Clean Floor orders over large areas, when there is already a large amount of activity going on. Prevention- Construct very limited paths through the mines you dig so there are fewer routes. Fix - There is none, currently, besides fully exiting/restarting the game. However, to add insult to injury, idling behavior can quickly cause an escalation in resource use, causing a "cascade effect", forcing more gnomes into idling behavior, eventually overloading normal pathfinding/task-hunting actions, causing most gnomes to idle, which then only increases the problem as they all go into frantic "idle" routines. However, it can happen when gnomes can't find a path to a task, due to either heavy demands on the CPU that interfere with pathfinding or so many paths being available that pathfinding, itself, becomes a problem or causes issues. In a properly defined Professions system, with logical tasks asssigned to professions/gnomes, this should not happen. Future Fix - It's code-based/memory based, so I don't know how to fix/improve it.ģ) Idling Behavior Overdrive Cascade Effect - When gnomes idle, they are constantly searching for something to do. It's always best to let the natural hiearchy of Profession tasks associated with stocking behavior take care of all stocking activity. Prevention - Do not give manual orders to Clean Floor over a large area, especially during peaks of high stocking activity or with many items to be stocked in such a manner. Fix - Restarting the game may or may not fix such items. Future Fix - It's code-based/memory-based so I don't know how to fix it.Ģ) Item Bug - When multiple items are being stockpiled, it's possible to have one of them become bugged inasmuch as they still appear on the ground, can be assigned to be stocked, but no gnome can actually interact with them and no orders the player gives can do anything with them. ![]() Prevention - It sometimes works to create separate stockpiles for wheelbarrows and separate ones for sacks and then setting these as Priority 1, in hopes the wheelbarrow/sack will be picked up during the process and restocked/reset back to its former state. Fix - Delete the task, fully, then fully exit the game and restart it. It lasts until the gnome is exhausted, is starving or is scheduled for military training. When a gnome is gathering multiple items, usually for stockpiling, the container will somehow lose some necessary attribute and become bugged, forcing the gnome using it and the task that was assigned to become bugged. This can be anything from disliked features, missing content, optimization issues, to bugs and glitches.ġ) The Container Bug - It happens with wheelbarrows and sacks. If you don''t want to wait for your tinker benches, you can just build a large earthen funnel on the surface to collect rainwater down to a single source square(s) underground, then, like trapped water example above, when you have enough, just expand the room out until the water is completely thinned out but not 100% evaporated.Ursprungligen skrivet av Luam_the_elf.Here I am asking what is Your biggest problem in this game. Once you've developed the proper tinkering levels for pumps, handcrank or otherwise, can just move some water through a pre-dug tunnel (or whatever vehicle you choose) to your desinated shroom farm locale. Once it's resealed again, expand that 2x2 or 3x3 until you have a large enough floor space to still be flooded, but not so large that it dries out completely. I find it best to just flood a small room, 2x2 or 3x3 from a connecting water source. You can do the water stuff manually though, you just have to learn to make use of the in-game water mechanics, either through standing water sources, or utilizing falling rainwater or just collecting THAT to use as a source. ![]()
